Polished Stainless Steel

The polished stainless steel at this facility needed to be cleaned and repolished. CMR utilized fine, specialized, non-abrasive pastes, in this case applied by hand, to revive the original high polished shine.
Although not necessary in the pictured instance, CMR will remove or greatly minimize scratches in high polished stainless steel through the use of different grades of jewellers' rouges and buffing wheels.

Brushed Stainless Steel

At this facility, CMR refinished the stainless steel columns by removing all pollutants and dirt, eliminated or minimized scratches, and regrained the stainless to its original #4 brushed finish. Multiple coats of clear sealer were then applied. Subsequent to this restoration a maintenance program was implemented.

The processes listed here are the basics for stainless steel refinishing and restoration. Any one or a combination of techniques can be used to achieve the look desired for your architectural stainless steel elements.
FYI -
The term 'polished finish' is often used interchangeably with other terms such as 'mirror finish' or 'No. 8 finish'.
